Spring has become on of my favorite seasons, especially since having Novia and moving to the city. I miss spring’s developments on the farm, but I don’t miss the mud and not being able to get outside to enjoy nature to it’s fullest. Living where we are now, I am able to take Novia to the park or just enjoy a walk on the parkway with a friend. I also miss the spring time birds like Red Winged Black Birds that sung as they built their nests in the swampy areas of the farm’s cow pasture, but I’m consoled by the sounds of the Cardinals in our neighborhood and along the parkway. Besides I could never take a walk on the spur of the moment with my dear friend, Sarah, when we lived on the farm. Two weeks ago when the weather was SO incredibly nice, we were able to have several impromptu grill outs with friends and neighbors… again something that we weren’t able to do living on the farm. It’s all about give and take, and during the spring I am more than willing to take the blessings of living in the city.

Here are several pics of Novia from two years ago on a nice warm, spring day on the farm and a few from a friends farm later that year. I miss the days when she would stay put for photo shoots. The last two are what I miss the most from living on the farm in the spring… my flowering trees. Happy spring!
