This past Sunday our pastor preached a phenomenal sermon on Philippians 1:18b-26. I would highly encourage you to listen/watch the whole sermon here. There is so much joy knowing that to die is ultimate gain. I think we generally understand that part of this section of Scripture, but I think we can sometimes overlook the section where Paul talks about remaining in the body.
If I am to live in the flesh, that means fruitful labor for me… Convinced of this, I know that I will remain and continue with you all, for your progress and joy in the faith, (Philippians 1:22,25 ESV)
A sermon like this is guaranteed to spur us on as we walk together as the body of Christ! I knew as I was listening that there were spots I wanted to highlight and more than just in my notes, so with the help of some great apps, I cut this section of audio and added photos to create a video.
I love reading back through my notes of standout quotes from a sermon, but I love hearing them even more. I am incredibly thankful to sit under such tremendous preaching!
I have not forgotten about sharing with all of you some of my favorite books. I’ve been working on that post, but my main job as a mom has had some bumps lately. For instance, bus pick-up and drop off times changing suddenly with no notice. Not fun to discover said changes in the middle of a polar vortex.
